I’ve completed another year around the sun and it’s been a crazy fun time!
Life is crazy in general and it can get overwhelming at times, but what you take away from experiences and how you choose to store memories is all up to you.
I’m a relatively optimistic and easy-going person and I love spontaneous adventures. We’re only here on earth for a finite time and I feel my time here is best spent seeing the positives in all experiences.
That being said, there are a few truths I have come to genuinely learn this past year. These are those truths.
1. Spend time with those that surround you with laughter and joy.
2. There is always time to be kind.
3. Don’t bother dwelling on the negative opinions of others about you. Life’s too short. Move on.
4. Just say yes. If you want to do something, but you’re hesitant on how it will turn out or what others will think of you, just do it. You’ll be happy you tried it out. And if it turns out disastrous, at least you have a funny story and hopefully have learned something from the experience.
5. It’s often times easier to share advice with others than it is to actually trust your own advice. It will all work out for you as it is intended. Trust the process and trust that you are fully equipped to handle the challenges you are going to face.
6. Sometimes, the best thing to do is say no and walk away. Don’t feel guilty for taking care of yourself.
7. Ask questions. People like feeling useful and most often would love to help you out. And you can make some interesting new friends this way!
8. Maintaining close friendships with those in the same season of life as you is vital in your young adult days! Building a strong support system sets you up for growth in all challenges later in life.
9. A trip to the beach at least once a year keeps the craziness at bay. Trust! Go breath some salt air my friends!!
10. Pink is always a yes. In every situation. Embrace the pink glow!
