My inner child totally geeked when I learned of the Hello Kitty Cafe at Irvine Spectrum. So I obviously HAD to visit when I was in SoCal next!!
I have been a huge fan of Hello Kitty and Friends since I was young, so it was a childhood dream visiting the Hello Kitty Cafe last month!
About a year ago, I downloaded a Hello Kitty Cafe game on my phone to fill spouts of boredom throughout the week, and let me tell you, that game has you hustling daily! The stress I experienced to serve customers constantly coming thru the door makes me feel like I’m actually a cafe owner, Lol! Nevertheless, the game has kept me entertained for the past year and I got two of my siblings hooked on playing too.
The actual Hello Kitty Cafe was the same experience as my phone game. The line was out the front door and down the sidewalk, but was so worth the wait! The service was great too!!
I felt like a kiddie at the candy counter once I was standing in front of the display case holding the various cakes and cookies! Everything looked so sweet and exactly like the foods Hello Kitty would serve and eat. I had a hard time trying to decide what to order! When I tell you the pink decor of the cafe totally complimented my personality, it totally did. If I were a cafe, I one hundred percent would embody the Hello Kitty Cafe!
We ended up getting the Strawberry cake, Chocolate Cake, the Strawberry Dream Smoothie, peach iced tea, sugar cookies, Cookies N Creme mini donuts, and macarons. Everything was absolutely pinkalicious and sweet as can be! We all shared the desserts because they were all so rich and filling. I highly recommend the Strawberry Cake!!
I also couldn’t leave without some cute Hello Kitty merch either!! We got some Hello Kitty pins and a tote bag.
If you ever find yourself wandering around Irvine Spectrum, definitely stop by the cafe for a sweet treat!
