🏅2018 Sea Olympics

Each voyage, the students of Semester at Sea compete with one another in their collective seas in various events to win the iconic Sea Olympics. A little friendly competition never hurt nobody, especially on the seven seas.

We all competed against one another in Lip Sync Battle, Synchronized Swimming, tug-of-war, water balloon toss, three-legged race, trivia, chess, volleyball, scavenger hunt, sponge race, minute to win it, bread eating, dodgeball, ping pong and a rap battle.

The Yellow Sea Pride swept the competition by taking first in Lip Sync Battle, Synchronized Swimming and the Rap Battle. The day was full of rambunctious shouts of team pride and loads of smiling faces as we all took the day off from classes and enjoyed the sunshine while sailing across the Indian Ocean.

The Yellow Sea ended the 2018 Sea Olympics with first in Spirit and third overall! Congrats to the Arabian Sea for taking first overall and Baltic Sea for second!

Bonus: two of my really good friends got engaged during the awards ceremony! Congratulations Chris and Christina!❤️

Also major artistic creds to my friend Hannah Wittmack for designing and creating our Yellow Sea banner!
