Semester at Sea Founder’s Day⚓️

55 years ago, Semester at Sea set off on its maiden voyage on October 22nd.

It was originally named University of the Seven Seas and nearly 250 students embarked on a journey around the world and visited over 20 different ports. Coincidentally, 55 is significantly the Emerald Anniversary year and our ship had passed the equator a few weeks ago to grant each of us students the title of Emerald Shellbacks!

Semester at Sea is now completing its 125th voyage around the globe and visiting 13 different ports this fall semester.

We celebrated Founder’s Day by sharing in a delectable cake dedicated to the remembrance of the first voyage and giving us students a semester of learning of a lifetime. We also celebrated Founder’s Day by partaking in mid-terms, yay!

Hats off to SAS!
